The adult choir meets every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Education Wing at the Church. In addition to preparing anthems for each Sunday morning service we present a Christmas Cantata in December and help with the music for the Sunday School Christmas Pageant. Extra rehearsals for the cantata begin on the first Sunday in November at 6:00 p.m.
There are always opportunities for solos, duets, small ensembles, and instrumental accompaniment to perform throughout the choir season which runs September through May. No audition is required and high school age and up are invited to participate. Tenor and Bass singers are especially needed.
The Hand bell choir at Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church meets also on Wednesday evening beginning at 7:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. The Hand bells consist of a three octave set of Malmark Bells. We also have a three octave set of Malmark Hand Chimes. At this time there is one permanent opening and always openings for substitute players. You don't need to know how to read music, just have a good sense of it. We perform during the holiday seasons and small ensembles accompany the choir during special anthems. Yes, you can be a member of both the choir and Hand bells. Our season also runs September through May.
